I heard speculation for years now that OPEC is going to adopt Euro's as their default currency. this would apparently be really bad for the US because they would then have to by oil in Euro's. so the worse their economy does the more oil costs. in the past they have basically been able to just print more money and buy more oil.

and

so if 1 Canadian dollar is equal to 1.1 US dollars that makes Canadian money worth more. get it?

to further clarify if 1 Canadian dollar were worth 5 US dollars that would also mean Canadian money was worth more.
