EA re-uses old code over and over even when they know its crap. My buddy works there and they tell their employees "we know our games are not the best... thats not our strategy" EA is an amazing marketing company, and they have market dominance. Producing a decent product is within their best interests for development costs, uniformity, etc etc.
This is not good news :( unless you are a shareholder of any of the companies involved.

^^ Bungie would never let that happen. They only initially did it to 1.) give themselves a strong publishing platform worthy of that IP and 2.) give them deep pockets to be able to afford to hire the staff and develop the game.
Now... they want there independence back. Nothing would take them further from that attained goal then allowing themselves to be acquired by EA.

i'd be more concerned about ea/ms relationships rather than bungies independence.

I'm not the biggest fan of a lot of EA's games...
skate is a new franchise for ea and yes, like most of their games got released waytoofuckingfast and has a few bugs in it..but all in all, it's an awesome game. curious to know if all the people talking shit about ea have spent any real time playing the full version of that game? I think it's one of the best things to come out of EA in a long time.

i've spent a few hours playing skate. i'd probably be playing it a lot more if halo, orange box, and nhl all weren't out right now though.

lol she plays halo sometimes, and i've got a pretty sweet PVR schedule going to keep her occupied =)
