The main idea is that the subconscious mind perceives information at an exponentially higher rate than the conscious mind. Hence why most people, when tasked to, cannot remember a list of 10 or more items, and yet they can smell something that vividly takes them back 15 years and they remember all the details of that situation

Anyway, I just borrowed the book from the library. What do you guys think

i have some stuff on it and started to learn once, but haven't stuck to it yet. it's an entirely different way of reading and it's difficult to adjust. it's in phases, so you'll flip through the book once and let your subconscious take it in and then go back through it again and speed read it to trigger the information you read. it's also a bit outdated and i haven't found anything that makes adjustments for electronic books yet.

Every little while something like this comes along. But they are generally just stupid tricks that people will forget about in a few days.

i've got an audio book version that has a practice session in it for remembering stuff out of the dictionary. i didn't have a dictionary on me when i tried it last though... will have to pick one up and give it another shot.

this one is a little different... scam or not, it's not just to help you read, it's to help you read really really fast.

it's been around for more than a few years, though, and some people swear by it. however, here are some people who think its a scam:

not everything is a scam. i sorta have perfect pitch (didn't have that before) after i listened to some CD course.

yeah to be honest, i didn't read the blog until after i posted it... and the only sources he uses are wikipedia and the pdf i had already come across.

then he says things like, "I practiced the system for months expecting to learn languages while flying to foreign countries, memorize the dictionary, and earn fantastic grades with no effort. Instead, I experienced a dark and depressing period in my life."

wtf does photoreading have to do with him being depressed? lol. anyway, to each their own. let me know if it actually works for you.
