accidents at work (fire and falling debris)

so I'm working at the Shangrilla tower on Thurlow and Georgia. A couple days ago sheets of plywood and everything else you could imagine came flying off the building in that wind storm. yesterday we had a fire in the dumpster outside the site. even crazier though was the elevator guys dropping an I beam 27 stories down an elevator shaft. they weigh 600 pounds... people thought a bomb went off and dove for cover that shit was so loud! so anyway it's been a couple pretty messed up days! luckily with all of this not one person was injured!

i'm at the Terasen building right across the st, you know the one where the giant piece of glass fell off during the windstorm? yeaah.

I could see the smoke from my work, and was hoping everyone was Ok. I also knew about the debris flying around bc of the wind storm. Take care you guys! Geez!

On monday night - with all the windstorms it was shit.
We couldnt hit the lions gate bridge.
Had to take the long way to the mountain.

on the plus side..

There was only 50 people at cypress, fantastic powder and no lineups.

from my experience if people let shit fall off a building due to carelessness they are fired on the spot.
