Invisible Braces? (Invisalign)

Anyone currently or have previously done them?

I'm thinking of getting my teeth realigned within the next year or so. My teeth are not bad, but I wouldn't mind getting them straighter/re-straightened. I used to have braces when I was younger (the metal kind) and retainers, but due to careless about wearing my retainers, my teeth aren't as straight as I'd like them to be.

I just don't want to endure the embarassment of having metal mouth anymore, so I'm considering invisalign.

Your experiences?

i only noticed when she brought it up like 2 hours later and took it out and showed

braces really suck... I had them from grd.10 until grd.12 in high school.

but it's sure nice when they come off and you've got a great smile to show everybody!

^but see, technology has sure changed since we were in highschool. Now they make removeable, invisble kinds, like this "invisalign" business. No more of those nasty stray wires cutting into your cheeks

I think head-gear is now in extinction? Anyone had to have head gear? :(

i repped the head gear for two years.
then my parents cheaped out and didnt want to get me the metal wire retainers that were cemented to the teeth... so the retainer that i had allowed my teeth to move all around again.

coles notes: i also want invisalign. but damn, shits expensive.

you'll have to be dedicated with invisalign though. Braces once in, or re-adjusted, can be quite uncomfortable and borderline painful (cheek/gum cutting aside).

With invisalign....it's still going to hurt like fuck when you start off or get new invisaligns...and would be very very easy to just take off. So make sure you can push through.

Also, if you've got complete donkey teeth I don't think invisalign works, but if you've just got ordinary screwed up teeth it should work

i wanted braces, but because i am native, i have like 3 teeth in my mouth. getting braces would have been stupid cause my teeth would move back. crowns seem like you are wasting a tooth, and posts sound painful and expensive.

Head gear. :( indeed. Before that I had a crib so my tongue wouldn't push my teeth out while sleeping. It was horrible when cheeseburger bits got stuck in the holes.
