looking to go to a stupidly expensive place for my ladies birthday, Dress code is not an issue. just looking for an upscale restaurant to throw money around and spend 8 bucks on one rum and coke. mabey a 200 dollar bottle of wine.

must have good food and service.

Quattro on 4th has great food, and fantastic service.

Same with Blue Water Cafe in Yaletown.

Lucy Mae Brown's on Richards is really damn good.

If you really wanna drop a shitload of scrilla, take a ferry over to the island and go to The Aerie on the Malahat. By far the most posh restaurant I've ever eaten at... Insanely wicked 7-course meal, it was $52 when I went which was about a decade ago, so it'll probably be more now. Also probably the best view I've ever seen from a restaurant.

fave restaurant right now. epic wine list. amazing cheeses and lobster mac n cheese.

gotham, parkside, cannery are all recent top pics.

also try Coast for seafood (ya ya ya i work for the glowbal group)

If you're really keen on dressing up and going out, go see the VSO. Much more reasonable, and entertaining then an overpriced restaurant would be.

I've been to all 3 and the only one I would really recommend would be Morton's.

Both The Shore Club and Gotham had decent steaks, but really lacked on the sides and appies.

this I would recommend. expensive and "worth" the money, without being labelled a douche bag as you enter.
