I got an Acer laptop at my work that is intel duo core t5550 (1.8ghz) 3 gigs of ram, 350HD, Vista Home Premium, for 799.99. I could see when I get to work if I can sharpen my pencil a bit more. Pretty good deal for kit this high spec.

^nah, it's a pretty good deal. Futureshop has similar spected laptops that are 200 bucks more. I'lll knock off 20 bucks if you buy a 3 year service plan that is money back if you don't use it, if worse comes to worse.

Big-brand retailers regularly overprice computers.

Local mom & pop shops ftw. I'm a fan of Generic Computer on Broadway.

$800 system just lacking on the RAM. Don't imagine getting it boosted to 2G would be too much of a problem. WinXP on it is a bonus (hate hate hate Vista with a passion).

i commented on my co-workers ipod last night and he said "yeah and i only paid $5 for it from one of the binners by the dumpsters out back!"

that sounds like the best route when looking for electronics.

That is a pretty good deal. The HD is a bit small. $200 more bucks and it would be pretty rippin', or just buy the one I'm selling=P. I hate Vista too.

ps I make no money from selling laptops. I'd be lucky if I saw 10 bucks on just the laptop.

and ps, i made the same comment and was quickly corrected, he bought it from a binner for $5 and it wasn't working right so it needed minor repairs. he believes that during ahunt in a bin for bottles, he stumbled upon an ipod that someone chucked thinking it didn't work. if it were stolen he would have bought it off a junkie in blendz for $25 and it would be in working order

Why buy from an American company when you can buy from a Canadian company? Sorry Staby=)

We also offer 60 day price protection. Money back extended warranties (if worse comes to worse, and there is never anything wrong with you new plasma, computer, ect. we give your money back as a store credit, at the end of the term), and don't forget those air miles lol.
