NEPAL/NORTHEN INDIA/southern tibet pending sketchy visa lol....

alaska in late august to visit the real fairbanks 142 bus from into the wild....

basically adventure is wat i do.

If you get a chance, go for a tour of the Dam. I was only 11 or so when I was there but I'd imagine it'd still be interesting.

They don't do tours of the damn anymore. They're afraid that people with wraps on their heads are gonna blow it up. They jacked up security and installed camera's galore.

Went on the tour a couple years ago though before all the security crap. The place is huuuuge, 2nd or 3'rd largest earth based damn in the world i think.

Hydro is putting in another in the valley between hudson hope and the john though. Lot of pissed off farmers over that one.

I had a conversation about the new dam on my way south about a month ago. It's hard to imagine that valley filled with water, but fuck. It's better than a power plant. I'm almost at the point where I'll take artificial routing of water sources over a giant steel and cement poison factory as opposed to leaving the earth as it is. Is this what I've come to in my old age and drunken pondering? Yes it is.

That's hilarious that they think anybody cares enoguh about Canada to close off tours of the dam..... I remember being like.. 11 or 12 and thinking the greatest thing in the world was my beavis and Butthead references throughout the tour... "is this um... a GOD DAMN?!"

As far as travel plans, It depends on when summer actually begins. I may still be playing down here then. Otherwise, a trip to L.A to see the gf and some sweet B.C camping is what I have in store.
