i need extra money. it's always nice when your hobby/interest becomes your side thing. i'd like to get back into designing flyers, but i'm so out of practice.

i am a care aide to a person with cerebral palsy. i do personal care, make meals, help clean house, and help with their assistance dog.

i swing groom at the track. a swing groom fills in for a full time groom so they can have a day off.
some of those grooms go well over a month without a real day off because swing grooms are so rare.
needless to say, people LOVE to see me walking into their barn because it means they get an easier day if not a day off!
or if i have good clippers i'll clip horses in the winter and spring. $65 for a half clip $110 for a full isn't bad extra cash!
pulling manes too, $10 per unless it's really long and thick and then it'll be like $25



all that requires skills i've honed over the years.

it's been awhile tho, i'd like the extra money for all the fun stuff i want to do this summer.

i used to teach people how to use all there new Hi-def,home theater,hd sat systems,audio systems, cell phones ect. ect.

eg. middle aged couple buys a new hometheater,no clue how to set it up...use menu systems,swtich between multiple imputs ect. Its all greek to them,but a first language to me...so id usually come in and charge around $100 -$150 flat depending on the system and guide them through it,teach them all about it, make sure there comfortable with the new tech and stuff... with a 30 extra charge for programming harmony all in one remotes...

at my peak i had quite the little operation going...i was handing out my card to numerous other sales peoples at other brick locations and even some friends and contacts at some competitors...right before id go on one of my extenended backpacking adventures around May id be running 4-5 installs a week....add that to my reg. paycheck and i was doing pretty damn well lol.....

If you know graphic design, check out Craigslist. There's a lot of freelance stuff on there.

However, keep in mind, people generally pay little and there is a lot of competition.

But it's good practice.

Once in a while I do freelance writing, but it's really really rare.

i used to do web development on the side for extra cash. i made a few grand setting up a sex toys website for someone once, but he went to to jail for selling drugs before he could even market it. haha shady.

i've also looked into reselling merchandise for drop shippers. it's not too hard to automate the whole process if you know what you're doing.
