K, but out of all of those 'cool new apps' how many do you use and rely on heavily on a day to day basis? I'd be very suprised if your answer was over 5 and that there wasn't comparable applications for Blackberry.


Seriously, my life just isn't complicated enough that it's just too much for me to carry an MP3 player and a Blackberry alone.

I can get my university lectures streamed to my iPhone, which is going to make studying a hell of a lot easier. I can just listen to the lectures again while I'm in transit from home-school or vice versa. I know that there are a lot of "similar" things with iPhone and Blackberry, but personally I much prefer the interface of the iPhone. I'm just not a Blackberry fan at all.

IMO, Blackberries are more business tools than they are for personal use. iPhone gives me all the little tools I need in one small device.

Having 22 on people on blackberry messanger is the main reason I wouldnt give it up.
I'm also not a huge huge fan of my ipod touch. Hopefully it will start to grow on me.

i think ur all nuts down there :) everytime a new phone his the market theres a thread on here, and everyone's jumping on board and getting one because its a bit better then the last one, when id bet money none of you even use have the shit last months model has.

how much money are you guys spending on cell phones every year?

also where are you all working, where having 24/7 net access is like a must, or you cant do your job right?

This is the first time I'm planning on spending more than $25 on a phone, period. ever.

I've never had a BlackBerry, HTC or any other smartphone.

I've also been bouncing around the possibility of getting an iPod touch, but given this price I think I'd rather just go for the phone.

I'd probably do all the same stuff I do on my laptop but with my phone instead. Actually I can't make calls on my laptop without an internet connection :)

The new mobile me setup looks really neat. It ensures your phone computer and everything are synced real time. Plus it gives you access to everything through a browser including photo libraries etc.

I'd probably even buy some of the games for back and forth flights to Boston. Obviously a lot of this stuff is geared towards the mac user. If you use things like ilife, mail and the built in Apple software on your computer then you will probably find yourself using a lot of the similar applications on the iphone.

I wouldn't be surprised at this price point that some time in the future this thing starts to eat up some of the market from the nintendo DS and such. Some of the new games looked really nice.

As you said though the blackberry will have lots of similar apps, it just won't have the games and the sex appeal :)

the ipod touch is more money and less quality (less battery time, less storage, ect.) than an ipod video and i expect the same with the iphone.

plus i prefer to keep my mp3 player and my phone seperate and NOT sharing a battery.
