Congressman Dennis Kucinich is on the floor of the House of Representatives right now introducing 35 articles of impeachment against President George W. Bush.

Yes, 35. He'll be reading for a while.

Four hours and forty minutes later, he's done, having listed every possible crime committed by the George W. Bush administration. Some may say a few of the 35 didn't exactly amount to high crimes and misdemeanors. Maybe not. But they were certainly all crimes.

Is this the first time George W. Bush has been called a "liar" and a "war criminal" on the floor of Congress? I'm guessing the answer is "yes." Long, long overdue

Not really. Kucinich has been trying to get Bush impeached for two terms now. Still to little success.

Pelosi has more sway than Kucinich in the House and she's gone on record a number of times saying that impeachment is not on the table.

Kucinich is like the democrat version of Ron Paul. Has some decent ideas, has a good concept of what's wrong with the nation, is willing to step outside the party status quo, but has absolutely no viable plan to implement change.

I think America look a lot better in the future if there was an asterisk next to bush's name in the history book.

As Kucinich said, this may be the only way to avoid an American aggressive action against Iran.

There's enough loosely worded legislation that's been passed to allow Dubya to do this. Impeachment would basically be the only way out.

What worries me though is that if Bush is impeached that puts Cheney in charge. Probably the number one reason they made Cheney Bush's #2.

I think bringing charges against the Bush family has always been and will always be a fantastic use of time.

Just ask anyone in any Nation with a media outlet of their own (aka something other than the American shite) what they think of the American Government right now. I think that these last two terms of presidency have left an indelible mark upon everyone inhabiting the Earth right now. It won't be soon forgotten.

Revolver also brought up a very valid concern. Cheney... like hell anyone would want that crazy bastard in charge. Seriously. I can't dig a bomb shelter in the permafrost up here... just let Bush piddle around until he's voted out.

Impeaching him is just slinging around more hot air and paper than is really necessary. Sorta like shooting someone twice when you know the first one killed them. We know he's gone. Why bother? But hey, that's just my thoughts.

It has a mark now. But think about in the future. I would hope that America would want to acknowledge the mistake. For example, Kim Cambell historically was the worst prime minister in Canadian history, but if you ask the average person on the street you won't get that answer.

They impeached Clinton for getting a BJ and the Democratic party still hasn't fully recovered. Impeaching Bush, if it's possible, would be necessary if only to secure an Obama presidency and see the Republicans struggle for a decade.

After this fiasco, the Republicans are going to have to do a lot of work to even stick their toes in the possibility of re-election. Seriously.

It's been a trainwreck that the world has been watching on TV, Internet etc for the last 8 years.

Impeaching him is just just a drop in the bucket after all of this. lol

Exactly. However, not impeaching him almost condones the actions he's taken.

However, Kuchinich isn't going to accomplish anything with this.
