well i still use it but i use my msn more cause im half retarded for one (as if you didnt know that), and two, im just that damn lazy that its easier for me to click the mail button on msn than it is to click the gmail button on my toolbar and sign in. thats like 4 seconds of my life that i may not get back...... untill i have to delete 100 junkmails a day

A couple of features of Gmail that make me wonder why anybody would possibly think hotmail is the better decision:

- pop3 support, so you can check it in Thunderbird, Outlook, Evolution or whatever e-mail client you like
- spam filter with seriously a 99.99% success rate (very few misses and even fewer false positives)
- lightweight integrated web IM client right on the e-mail page
- doesn't run into firefox compatibility issues because they actually adhere to web standards
- option for DNS redirection, so that you can set up your own domain in gmail and hand out gmail accounts with @whatever.com, if you don't like having the gmail name on it.
- e-mail forwarding option
- More storage, and it's constantly increasing
