I've heard questionable things re:safety. Also hear they wear off after a while.

Guy I keep running into at parties and whatnot has one, it's pretty damn cool regardless.

I asked one of my artists if she could do glow in the dark ink on me.

All the other artists and her laughed at me.

I dont think it's very popular.

There was someone doing it in Vic at one point, and it seems interesting since you would only see the scarred skin in normal light. No idea on how safe it is though.

The thing with UV tattoo ink is that the earlier stuff was AWFUL and caused a lot of problems. The stuff they use now is the same ink that they use to do id tattoos in animals/pets, and is the only tattoo ink that is actually FDA approved.

Anything that could possibly be FDA-Approved right now cannot hold a guarantee that it will be so in say... 10 years. There is no way for them to know what damage it can do to the body over time because the products have not been around long enough for them to do sufficient testing.

I might consider this when I get closer to 30 and long-term applications have proven to be safe.

I don't know about you, but I don't plan to live much past 30 anyway. Looks good, but I can't think of a damn thing worth drawing on myself.

^ nah I think it's pretty neat. just the benefit is relativity useless once you hit say 30 and stop going to clubs. I don't think my Mom/Dad even know or would remember what a black light is on first thought. if it's safe I would consider it a positive young adult choice to body art. permanent but social situation applicable. neat.

Hmm, that's a pretty weak MSDS and after re-reading that link, sounds like it might only be FDA approved for fish and animals.
