Amen! He wouldn't be doing as well as he is if it weren't for DJ's. Dj's are his biggest fans. They are the ones who plays his shit and if it weren't for Dj's, nobody would know who the hell he is. I know who he is, he's a Douche!!!

I can kind of see where he is coming from. Now that we have CDs and Serato, DJing (most genres of music) is pretty easy if all you are going to do is mix tracks, and as a producer its never easy to see people that dont make tracks get gigs instead of yourself, however he's an absolute idiot for saying it to the press and pissing off a huge proportion of his audience.

I think someone got too big too fast and is ego trippin.

Although I can totally see what he's coming from, hes being completely neive of what a lot of DJ's do. I would think his annoyance would mostly have to do with over paid DJ's who dont produce or only make a one hit wonder, yet still bring in the big dough for a gig.

But really, almost every DJ/Producer starts out by playing other peoples music there also the ones exposing his tracks to the people. Not like Deadmou5 ever got any exposure on the radio of Mtv.

I love it how he has the nerve to call out on dj's and mock them. Yet he is the one who is playing sets in ableton and using various effects / loops along with midi controllers. All he has to do is open a live set that is already premade with the cue points already set and the master tempo already set to the proper BPM, twists a few knobs here and there have a few other additional loops and vst plugins and voila! your set.

Clearly he doesn't understand the concept of "networking". People buy his music because they heard it from somewhere.... Who would that be? a DJ... Alot of people that spin have had people come up to them during or after there set wondering what track they played and who its by. Clearly its something that caught there attention. That person will most likely inquire about getting that track and/or purchase various other albums from that same artist. Where do the sales really get generated from?

He should be praising DJ's as far as I am concerned, whether it be amatuer or professional.

Doesn't matter though. He placed #11 in DJMag's poll this year (even funnier when you consider he's essentially a Live PA act), which, according to him, makes him amongst the biggest cunts around.
