vancouver nightlife doesn't have much to offer me other then expensive booze and people i have no interest in talking to. I am much happier lounging at home with my homies, drinking wine and quoting 90's movies.

hangovers suck. one of the main reasons ive decided to give uo the booze

Ya.. honestly the last time I went out and drank.. was last year at Gabriel and Dresden. I've agreed to go out a good half a dozen or more times since, but always offered to be the DD.

I honestly don't enjoy going out anymore. I always regret it these days, and prefer to stay in and wake up, go to the gym, run errands, get stuff accomplished.

2 years ago I was down town 2-3x a week, and at local bars another once or twice a week. Life changes, you grow up.

I got jaded with the whole going-out experience like 5 or 6 years ago. Then a couple years later I got back into the going-out-on-the-regular. I still really enjoy it. Doesn't mean I don't need some down-time occasionally.

Because of working at the bars for the last 3 years, drinking 5 times a week.
leaving bouncing was the best thing ever

I rarely go out, usually because scuba diving the next day. Good move on my part.
