We've just learned Michael Jackson has died. He was 50.

Michael suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this afternoon and paramedics were unable to revive him. We're told when paramedics arrived Jackson had no pulse and they never got a pulse back.

Michael is survived by three children: Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr., Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince "Blanket" Michael Jackson II.

Jackson had 13 number one hits during his solo career.

On a serious note. MJ was a huge part of my life growing up, he was such an icon. His music is unparalleled and no one person could replicate what he's achieved in his life time. May he rest in peace.

it's sad. he was kind of the last of his kind of supertalented pop entertainer/musician dynamos that you just don't see in music these days. The industry has changed so much since his height of fame, he represents an era of modren music that puts todays pop music to shame in a big way.

Honestly I'd even say he was the first of his kind as well. But the way that the entertainment industry (and in particular his father) treated him is probably largely responsible for his superstardom and heavily refined talent (in addition to his natural ability). The fact that they're not doing this to 5-year-old kids IMO isn't that much of a Bad Thing.

My opinion on the whole child molestation thing is that yes, he was wacko, but I don't think he was actually touching the children.

If you've seen him talk about the subject, and talk about kids, he's actually crazy enough to just LOVE children. I think he was just wacko enough to love sleeping in a bed with a bunch of children. He always said he didn't find anything wrong with an adult sleeping with children. He was just crazy enough to wanna do that.

But of course when a parent finds out about something like that....well, they're gonna be pissed off, cuz that is weird, but also they're gonna instantly see dollar signs. I would do the same thing. Tell the kid to say "he touched me" and boom, you get millions of dollars. It's a no brainer really.
