Victoria Hotel Recommendation?

Any thoughts? Nothing outrageous, unfortunately, but I don't mind spending a bit extra if the location, views, etc. are worth it. It is for my girlfriends birthday, so romantic ambiance would be good too:)

Oak Bay Beach Hotel is a really nice hotel. It has amazing views, lovely ambience, some themed rooms, and the food there is quite tasty. I'm not sure how much it costs though, as it doesn't say on their website.

Aerie Resort is absolutely beautiful, but it's about a 20-30 minute drive from Victoria (up on the Malahat). I think it's rather pricey though.

But, whatever you do, do not stay at Traveller's In! (those places are all shite) lol

Hotel Grand Pacific has a great location, good views and an okay restaurant (The Mark)
Ocean Point has even better views and an ever better restaurant (Lure), but is in a not-so-good area
Laurel Point Inn also has great views and a good restaurant (Aura)

Fairmont (Empress) is overrated IMO
