I resolve that next year I won't make any New Year's Resolutions.

Oh crap, I just broke mine from last year.

my resolution for '09 was to quit pot and get signed up for college. conquered both them shits like a golden champ.

'10 my resolution is just to make the most out of school by working really hard and forging as many new connections as possible while i'm there.

Why wait until the new year to make changes to make life better? Why not make solutions before a problem occurs? then.. as John Lennon stated in "Watching The Wheels".. 'There are no problems, only solutions.'

What if.. the new year doesn't come, because you waited to make a change.. sad thought, but possible.

-Speak to an academic advisor at U of T and York U about their graduate programs and proceed from there. Get to applying to grad school or at least preparing a portfolio for it.
-Have my art works displayed at a cafe/restaurant in Toronto or elsewhere
-continue to improve my French
-go vegan (I'm already there, but would like to maintain for life)
-Use my work travel passes more and go on a big international trip in June during my stat days (Thailand/Burma?) go on at least 2 international vacations next year.
-continue to follow a life path that makes me happy.

I tell people the same thing, this time, every year:

I don't do yearly overhauls.

I do ongoing maintenance/modifications as I go.

Every year, people who don't make resolutions feel the need to make a public declaration that they don't make new year's resolutions when they could just ignore the thread altogether, if it doesn't apply to them.

For that, I will make this same observation, verbatim, next year. Mark your calenders.

Well I'm just lowering the bar really low this year and not making any signifigant resolutions at all. So even if I made the smallest notion towards a new years resolution(s) and didn't fulfill any of them, I wouldn't risk the chance of disappointing myself or others. Win-win imo.
