k so my friend just called me and is like, "something really bad has happened to Tara" and so im like WTF?
Turns out Tara who is barely 18 years old is in federal prison in spokan washington for trying to smuggle 61 pounds of bud. I know that she really should have known better but wow that really sucks. i can't imagin what she is going to be like after however long she's in there, it's so terrible. This just really sucks, i dont understand how the hell people can do these kinds of things and take these chances. Its so fucked up, her life is ruined basically. The yankees are going to come down on her like a ton of bricks, i'm sure:(

Not most likey. Definately the trial will be here in the US. There's no way someone caught smuggling 61 pounds will be sent back to have a trial in Canada. Most likely she will get a a very long sentence if convicted. This sounds like a 30 years type of thing. Maybe even life imprisonment. I really hope that doesn't happen but with Bush in power, these are dark days in America.

I'm so sorry to hear that happened. I know it's stupid what she did but our drug laws here are much more stupid so let's pray that your friend will once again see the outside world.
