War. DO they actually have a plan?

I think its really dumb how when they bombed the shit outa the talaban area they killed tones of people and whatever, but they didnt even know if they killed binladin or not, and they still dont....

and same with now.. iraq is turned to rubble and they dont even know if saddam is dead.

nice plans guys...

and now they are all mad we didnt help them bomb random things...

It is easier to share the blame than to accept responsibility by yourself.

why does it matter if bin laden or saddam are dead? they're basicly hunted down for the rest of thier natural lives.

killing them is basicly just a promotional tool for the us army. they're figureheads.

who really knows if Hitler was killed? [edit: I'm pretty smart, smrt, and meant to write bin laden NOT hitler...]

Although Saddam is a dictator, he is not the only one running the organization. An organization that has had years to grow followers dedicated enough to strap bombs to themselves, and years to create it's operations. The military is not just bombing to kill Saddam, but is trying to take the followers out from beneath him as well. Its difficult to be sure that you have killed anyone when their bodies have been obliverated by a bomb, especially a person with numerous body doubles, as the first account to their death is that they were seen their before the target was bombed. The media is the one distorting the facts, although I believe that a lot of the propeganda they spread is given to them by the US government during press briefings. It's simpler and less of a smack of reality to talk about a restaurant being bombed because 'Saddam may have been eating there' than to say we bombed a restaurant full of ppl while they were eating.

oh, and by the way, apparently bin laden bought 5 suitcase nuclear bombs before he was 'killed'. good thing he's dead *sarcasm*.

we had a HUGE class discussion today about everything going on in Iraq today
alot of points were made...some logical and some not
everyone has a different viewpoint on the whole matter
personally i think the US just wanted something to be done....and there answer to that was war. and the whole plan has 2 sides to the story...i'm sure they have one...but that's not going to be all over the news. and if they don't, that's just ridiculous.

I agree that it's really discomforting to know that so many innocent lives are being taken. but then that can be related back to so many things in both cultures.

one of the biggest things about the war that pisses me off is how bush goes on about how he wants to save the innocent lives of iraqi people and that it's so horrible(which it is of course) that these innocent lives are being taken....BUT....then as he proceeds to say all this about innocent lives being taken and what not.....i always notic that as soon as a disaster is over like this war that he starts to talk about the american troops and how their innocent lives are being stolen away from them...when bush is the one who sent them there himself.

grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Today they showed the people of Iraq more than Happy to see the Iraqi goverment crushed, the US has basically claimed control over Iraq. When the new goverment comes in effect we will see if it was for the best or not, I think Iraq will be a safer place with 10 times the oppurtunity, but I respect evreyones opinion!

word..though i find war morally objectable i think the results of this war will be beneficial to the iraqi people in the long run. the amount of iraqi's killed by bush's bombs is far less then the amount killed by saddam's regime and the un sanctions every year.
