Is it just me, or is a Video Game that you kill Gay/Lesbians and People from Ethnic..
a video game where the point it to kill Gay/Lesbians and people from Ethnic groups, is just sick.... Yes a game like that is due out on canadian shelves soon. plain sick, and i'm not just talking the killing part.. its sick to our society... we've come so far the past years and descrimination was beginning to be a thing of the past. sure its still around but a lot more people are openminded. the developers responce to this recent opinion on their game is "its only fun, entertainment for a mature adult audience" WTF is he talking about.. sure some adults play video games but the majority are preteens/teenagers..
this kinda actions/theme totaly dosent need publicity meh. stupid people

it's actually a game where u go about living your life. so it's not all about 'pick a race' and kill them. it's like grand theft auto. u can complete missions, or u can go bash people. it's like a city u go do stuff in, like cash your paycheque, get groceries etc etc. it's just if ur character uses violence to solve it's problems.
btw, it's a VIDEO GAME. i play counter-strike a lot, yet i haven't gotten an urge to go around shooting people with guns.

you can't really be insulted if the game just insults everybody.
besides, in the first postal you take a flamethrower to a daycare playground on recess. obviously this is not a game going for realism or correctness. just don't buy it. vote with your dollar.

Is the problem that the game has been manufactured or that consumers will buy it? Or worse, parents will buy it for their kids?
Who's more to blame - the society that allows these types of games to be made or the manufacturer who takes advantage of society and makes them?

u fuckin walk around for like 3 minutes...then LOADING for 30 seconds walk around 3 more minutes...more loading...more LOADING fucking gay game

i'm not really one for video games but i think the fact that it does "insult everybody" makes it all the more worse. how does discrimination against a large population lessen the effects of discrimination against a small group of people. discrimination is discrimination is discrimination. Either way you look at it.

i don't think it's right for anyone to get shot or subjected to discrimination...regardless of race or sexual preference or any other reason for that matter. like i said...discrimination is discrimination....any way you look at it. -s.

point taken. but as Dave said previously, where do you draw the line? i think people who surround themselves with these games have a tendancy to fall under the pretense that the views that these games promote are...acceptable (for a lack of better words). There's always been games where you shoot people and other things (ie. doom? i think it's called that. i could be wrong!) but this new idea or notion about killing people based on race, culture, sexual preference, etc etc steps over that fine line between so-called "entertainment" and propaganda that essentially promotes discrimination.
I haven't played or heard about THIS game until reading the thread but from the sounds of it, it sounds disgusting and extremely offensive. and i really mean no offense to anyone specifically but if you find these games "entertaining", i'd question your moral values. I understand that it IS just a game but to enjoy the game, you'd have to enjoy the racial and homophobic views that this game promotes. And that kinda scares me... -s. Who here has actually played this game? Until one of your confirm that is obvious the game is based on killing ethnic groups or gay people then im just gonna assume you guys are respond to the medias review of the game... which would most likely be wrong...
