KandyKid has a little shameless behaviour in the past
To those Dumbasses that fear SARS

Okay, i see all these ignorant people talking about SARS, like its a huge epidemic... OMFG... do you know more people die from falling down stairs everyday then they do from SARS? Your chances are better from dying from getting hit by a car then you are from getting Symptoms from SARS, on a 100:1 ratio. If you are so scared of SARS, are you 100 times as scared to walk across the street? God People, get real! :finger:

AGROculture has a spectacular aura aboutAGROculture has a spectacular aura about
its not bad in Vancouver at all

but the thing is it can get bad, and that wouldn't be that amazing if it did

Taiwan just shut down its border, to alot of countries that alone tells you that this is serious, Borders don't shut down for petty things, its VERY serious

however you are not likely to get SARS, kandykids right, you're more likely to fall downstairs

RAVE ON!!!!!!

I'm heading to Ontario in a few days. I've been told to make sure I wear a mask.
GEESH.

There's 21 people that have died from SARS now in Canada. They are all over the age of 48. I'm sure when you get to that age, your immune system depletes quickly. Out of the billions of people in Canada, 21 people have died. I am not very worried about it. (we'll be flying into TO for a quick stop over, then change flights to go to Kingston). Their one point to me about wearing the mask was "you don't have to worry about what you look like because everyone else will be wearing them too". :p How silly I look with a mask on would be the farthest thing from my mind.

Not sure.. but check out http://www.who.int/en/ if you want to know.
i think the biggest problem is just the airports, but you can wear masks there, no biggie.

i wouldn't call them dumbasses..the chances in vancouver is pretty low, but it has the capability to get high. scares me just once in a while how serious this unknown disease is.... and it kinda just creeps up without you knowing. people who fear are just taking precautions...you might just be that 1 in a 100..you never know.

it was kinda disturbing watching the news and seeing a whole kindergarden class wearing face masks in hk... becoming the new mandatory "piece of clothing". betcha anything they're gonna have fancy dancy designs on face masks soon! hello kitty anyone?

over 100 times more people a year die from the flu then sars. also the fatality rate is about the same for both dieases, so why the big scare?

its just stupidity/

i know that.
i'm not worried about it. but in an airport, you don't know who just got off what plane from where..
not saying you'll catch it in an airport, but if you're worried just go with the mask, not because you think you'll die, but just to prevent from gteting sick. it's not very fun.

the media feeds them half-truths that causes "mask-hysteria"

my view... its all totally bogus....

i bet the ppl who sounded the alarm are the same ppl who manufacture surgical masks

im also heading back to ontario in a few days... i go to school there.. my friend's mom works in a building connected with the hospital, and they now have to wear masks all day during work... yes, have to...

and they're not a hospital, just a typical office building...

i flew in to vancouver a couple weeks ago, and i didn't wear a mask but some people did...

i think a lot of this is overblown, but at the same time, id rather hear aboot sars than another "war in iraq" story...

hehehe... they already exist ;) They had pictures of them in the daily subway newspaper a few weeks ago, and yes, there was a hello kitty one!

As for the masks... I've seen people on the subway and streetcars wearing them, those are the ones that scare me, because it says they may have come in contact with it.

But really, there's nothing to be scared of.
