aww, evry once in awhile i get somone out of the blue who calls me who I met from australia or a few weeks ago a girl i met there was sudenly in vancouver for a few days!

Agreed. My best friend lives in Edmonton, and i rarely hear from her on the phone (long distance) so her calling out of the blue after so looong is so great, even if we can only talk for a bit.

it's real nice to get calls from friends that you often don't get a chance to talk to. Even an email or an icq really rocks my world. It's nice to know you're still thought of, or at least that the effort in the friendship is mutual. A while back my girl friend sent me a card for no reason, and that totally brightened my day.
