DnB has taken me

when i first got into the scene i was all about Trance. the more i partied the more i realized that House music could keep me dancing all night. but now every party I'm at I need a big dosage of DnB. there's just so much energy in the music and the crowd, its insane! I still love trance and house, but at a party you'll find me with all the junglists now!

anyone else like this? lol

peace

ha ha...seems most ppl enjoy trance when they first enter the "rave" scene because it makes there high much better. I for one did not enjoy trance when I first started, it was always about the b-r-e-a-k-s.

Congrats for finally making the transition. There is more music beyond dnb, trust me.

YEA!!! Werd up for Music conversion!!!!!

When I first got into electronic music, it was all about the Hardhouse baby :smoke1: that shit is so energetic...

Then I transfered over to Trance. Not so much party music (I've never done E) but just because it's so damn chill, you can sit for hours and listen to that stuff and just bob your head...same wit DnB, just good listening music.

Now, I'm all into the Breaks! Shit, a year ago I didn't like this stuff at all, and now I can't get enough!

Now, learning to dance to breaks...

EDIT: Spelling

hmm. You no I must say when I got into tha scene I was all I new was Jungle. I d never heard any other electronic music except some House but I didn't really have much of a appreciation for it.
Now I listen to striclty DnB but I have found a new respect for some House. I am actually diggin the Breaksonly now thanx to an ex-boyfriend. Hmm prolly shouldn't give him away he'd be too happy to hear I wrote that he got me into Breaks.... haha Dj's

word drum and bass is so intense and carries sop much energy with it..thats how it beocmes addictive to those that listen to it.

i also find that the samne seriousness and energy found in drum and bass is what keeps alot of people from enjoying it..even myself, sometimes i get tired of the seriousness of drum and bass so i go listen to some cheezy disco instead

I love the drum and bass also. it ranks right up there with my favorites cause its so fast and powerful. A blast to dance my ass on too.

but i agree you need variety and that is why I like to listen to alot of genres. house and breaks are right up there with jungle/d&b ya.

it's a natural progression... congrats on leveling up.

personally, the more challenging the music, the better. i like music that makes me think through it - music that moves more than your body. hence, drum n bass is the style of choice for the discerning ear. the only unfortunate thing is that you'll never get groupies by playing venetian snares... ah well, gotta sacrifice for the art right? ;)

Hehe...When I first got into the scene I would have to say it was all about the funked up beats...usually derivations of electronica and hip hop...Then I went to trance then hardhouse then happy hardcore for about a month then one night DnB totally clicked and I liked that for a bunch then it was all about funky house and funky breaks now I am drifting back into trance and hip hop...It is just one big circle...Keep in mind though that I've been partying for almost 10yrs now...

I think I am at the point where I like all types of music equally. Er...I just get too tired too fast with happy hardcore and I am really getting bored with house music being played at every single place I go to....GAH! I really like most jungle I hear but I am by no means a "jungle for life" type person...Give me something with a little bounce and a bunch of funk!

funk is great. like should be funky, but jungle is funky too. Ie JAZZY DRUM AND BASS@!! i dunno the real term for you know that kinda of nice jazzy jungle.

i like almost all forms equally but jungle and breakz do rate higher than the rest for me. I love house though house it rite up ther

its important for me to have a diversed mind when it comes to taste in music, because i get bored of listening to just one genre all the time.

but at parties nowadays, it takes a pretty big trance headline to keep me at that stage

THE BEST DRUM AND BASS IS DISCO DRUM AND BASS!!#!@$!$#@

for dancing, i definetly enjoy breaks first , DnB second, and House third. for listening tho? HOUSE comes # 1 without doubt. breaks is numbah 2.

but im starting to get back into the wild energy that comes with really great DnB crowds at parties. i just hate some of the people that come to the shows so i stopped paying any attention to DnB at all for a long time.
