Its got its good and bads dude. Don't forget how much its gonna cost us for transportation repairs. Ie the sea to sky highway. Fuck that thing is a suicide road not a highway fuck.
I want the olympics too, but i don't think its gonna be all su nshine and shit, and if we don't get it. What a waste of money we would have invested into the olympic bid. Most likely though we will end up getting it anyways

However, the results are so damn close...it's gonna be neck and neck. I really really want Vancouver to win, but I am still unsure about it's chances.

I hope it comes for sure. The benefits of the games here are immense.
people are bitching that the games will cost too much but the bottom line is that over the past 20 yrs almost every Olympic Games has made the host city money and increased that cities profile tenfold. We'll have new sports facilities, new highways, and better tourism at literally no cost to the BC taxpayer in the long run. True it'll cost us now because you need to prepare for the games but when the money comes rolling in the provinces coffers will be filled for sure. People need to look at the big picture and realize what kind of an opportunity this is for BC. Vancouver is ready to become the world class city we all see it for. GO VANCOUVER!

i would like vancouver to get the olympics, but they wont because New York wants the 2012 summer games, and the odds are VERY good that they will get it, and that means that vancouver wont get the 2010 winter games, cause they wont give BOTH games to north american cities
