Getting tickets...

Alright, so my birthday is a month away and in the mail I recieve this letter from ICBC saying I owe them $300 from the 6 points I've acquired while speeding.. so this really got me almighty PO'd.. I mean I paid $600 in tickets.. then now I have to pay another $300 ontop of that? I mean WTF is this? Cash grab or what? I'm not freaking rich, that took up half my bloody paycheck and I just got out of hawk damnit.. I need money for a PC and School and this is how they say "Happy fucking birthday" by sending me a ticket.. grrrrrrrrrrr... stupid Democracy.. let this be a lesson to you all.. DON'T SPEED.. it ain't worth it..

yeah, with a class 5 license whenever you get a ticket you get a certain number of points allocated to your license.. and then at the end of every year you pay a certain amount of money to pay off those points...my friends and i were just having a discussion about this last night! profiling by police is wrong, but only to a certain extent. i think occupational profiling should be done. i mean the last thing a student needs is to pay off a $300 ticket when he/she's paying for tuition and crap

yeah, but I think it does serve as a good deterrent.

after paying $900 in tickets, do you think a student would want to speed again?
