Bleh, my job consists of stacking pallets on a double pallet jack and loading em up to ship out to various places. Its not ALL bad, id like it more if i got paid more then 9.30 an hour... that and i only work 20-22 hours a week :soak:

But im going back to school in September, so i think the 20 hours a week will be perfect :y:

I don't think I'll ever "love" retail,

but I don't mind it. For a job that isn't my career, it ain't so bad. I've worked for some shitty organizations before, and really poor work environments, and this has so far been the best. I'm on better terms with my co-workers and managers, and they are all generally great to work with.

I like the fact that they really challenge us to do our best, and encourage and acknowledge success. Plus, I genuinely LOVE working on Robson.

I liked my job (at a retail store) until too much change happened (aka BAD BAD management). The turnover is so high (in the 3 years I've worked there, over 60 people have come and gone--very high for a store of 14 employees) and head office doesn't always seem to know what they're doing. I think I started getting unhappy with my job because I have nothing more to learn there and it's getting boring. I'm teaching people what I know, and although that was fun the first few times, it gets boring doing the same thing over and over again.

However, it doesn't matter anymore. I've given my notice of resignation, and my last day will be august 15 (AND I'm on 2 weeks of holidays starting today, so I only really have 1 more week of work left).

Definitely can't complain about mine...I like the fact that I generally don't go home thinking and/or worrying about stuff that has or will be happening...which is nicer than some of my previous jobs...plus the peeps (co-workers, supervisors, etc) are great...another year and it'll be my longest held job - woo-hoo!

Haha I work for gap inc too!!! At first it was my dream job..compared to working in a cafe where i worked before. But Retail isn't totaly what it seams....(constant folding can kind of get to you!!) I've worked there for over a year now and boy it would be such a better job without the stupid company policies!!!!

i hated my job...and you know what..I got fired from it yesterday.
Yes..I got fired. My first job to ever get fired from and u know what..Im happy about that because I hated working for their pish posh, snobby, only be liked if your a suck up fucken attitudes. I don't like working for ppl like that...

I was the 4th person to get fired in the last week...seems to be routin there going with there, cleaning house.

I guess my so called "attitude" wasn't up to par and snobby enuf for them....but thats ok..I got lots of severance pay and another big cheque to last me while I find another job and I DON'T have to work today....woo hoo

I've been at my job for over two years now, I just got a promotion, and I'm loving every minute of it! The only tough part to deal with are problem customers, but other than that it's smooth sailing.

I've actually been seriously thinking of making a career out of this - now I'm thinking about going back to school to take fashion design and buying, but who knows. I probably won't go back to school for another 2-3 years.
