many a person has attempted to quit with English in the past... best of luck (jon "quit" again yesterday too) - and on that note i've got a couple of 2 week passes for my gym for you and Dave, they expire on Nov 1 - so now neither of you have an excuse.

That's awesome to hear soma!!

I am going to do the same after this week end. I've cut down to only when I go out, but I want to quit for good.

You can do it for sure, just keep thinking to yourself all the bad things about smoking. The first couple days are the worse, then it gets surprisingly better!

good on you! it's definitely not an easy thing to do. i've been an on-again off-again smoker for several years. last time i was going through the quitting process, i vowed never to put myself in that situation again. mmmhmmm.

ive been smoking for 8 years now and ive never thought about quiting but eventually (maybe in another 6-7 years) ill quit too or try to. But best of luck to you. It's hard but not impossible

go another 6-7 years man and it will be damn near impossible... i was never a hardcore smoker at any time but still found it way too hard to quit... although I did manage to until somebody (** coughs and points at thread starter **) kept giving me smokes - but I guess I don't have to worry about that anymore do I Soma? Man, all this typing is making me want a smoke.

screw the resolution man - no one ever sticks to resolutions, you just gotta do it when it feels right and it is absolutely necessary that you replace the habit with something else - especially when stressed out...
