Wedding Dress: need help!

[ disclaimer: NO I AM NOT GETTING MARRIED ]

I am going to a friend's wedding in May - I'm very excitied. And have decided that I'm going to make my own dress for it. [yes I can sew]

I just can't seem to choose the color ... my first [and obvious] choice is PINK ... but then what shade?!?!

So help me pick a color ...

as for the style, I've got it all in my head I just have to design it properly and then make it which wont be very hard at all.

well obviously you like pink, so go with a softer shade of pink. it'll be perfect for an almost summer wedding. :)

i say light pink too .. magenta or bright pink would look so rad for a dress but since its a wedding i think light pink would be adorable and more suitable for the occasion :)

It's near them - and yes the barnet does get there ... well sort of - it turns into the lougheed!

hhmmm... I should be able to help you with this but I'd need to know the general design of the dress, the undertones of your skin etc haha.

Fuck, I'm way too much of a perfectionsit when it comes to shit like this. I should probably tone that down a little bit if I plan on doing such things as a living and NOT driving myself insane.

hhmm.. I like the sound of a magneta/almost fuschia like pink. Nothing too loud, and hopefully that would look nice with your skin tone. A soft yellow is always very nice, but yellow is also a hard colour to pull off. If your hair is light, you might not want to wear such a light golden colour (at least at the top of the dress. If the dress can pull off two colours, and you want one of them to be yellow. Make sure its at the bottom if your hair is light like the yellow)

Jenna: the dress ... hmmm I'll attempt to draw it half decently and put it in my gallery, give a few days. It's going to be kind of corestty topped and then a skirted bottom, 2 piece i'm almost thinking.

goddessa: i was actually thinking of getting a black pinstripe suit, being PINK pinstriped with a lacey pink blouse - but it won't have been something i made.

hhmm.. if its corsety then in my mind.. light pink would be nice if you think it works with your skin tone, it might wash you right out if both you and the dress are too pale (like me :) )

but other than that, deffinately a nice rich fuschia like pink or RED RED RED!
