Attack On America Pt 2
I can't remember any one event before this that has ever affected me this way. I've spent a lot of time thinking and quite frankly I’m somewhat concerned as to the events that will unfold over the next few months. This could very well initiate several retaliation attacks against the US that may involve the use of chemical or biological warfare. Over the last 5 days, watching countless hours of CNN, I’ve been researching the history of the relationship between the US and Middle East countries prior to this attack. It seems to me the public has been sheltered from some serious past issues that lead up to the destruction of the World Trade Towers. The revenge was expected, however, from the information I’ve read, none of the animosity the Middle East has held against the US warrants a retaliation attack of this magnitude. The US will not reconsider their presence in the Middle East and will certainly not give in to these types of attacks. It seems the Arab nations want to operate independently without US influence, but these actions have caused much hatred amongst US citizens (Arab,Muslim etc) and have jeopardized the future relationships between the Middle East and the US. Furthermore these attacks have changed our lives forever. We have been violated in the worst way possible, which jeopardizes our way of life in the 21st century.
I've attached a link to a site that claims the US was partially responsible for the training and/or funding of Osama Bin Laden during the Russian invasion of Afghanistan during the Reagan-Bush campaign. FYI CIA Training and funding of Osama Bin Laden |

I've seen all the footage they have of the crashes and what not...but when i saw the footage of people jumping to their deaths, i was, to say the least, shocked. The footage of both planes crashing into the WTC was tough to watch but watching people fling themselves off the buildings was even tougher. I think it's due to the fact that you can actually SEE people...with the plane footage, you could only imagine...but with the video/pictures of people jumping, it stared you right in the face. There's no guessing when you see the pictures. Those people died. Innocent people. Upon seeing the video footage on NBC a couple of days ago, i honestly felt sick to my stomach. I just hope and pray all those people who decided to take that last leap didn't feel anything and went quickly.

When I was watching the images of the planes crash into the buildings it didn't seem real.
But when I saw footage of all those people at the windows during the aftermath, knowing now that in 15 minutes they will die, sure made me feel sick. |

the whole plane thing, didn't affect me that much either.. i mean u see a plane crash, maybe i've been to desensitized from movies and what not but it's just like whoa, and it doesn't see real. but when us ee the ppl, that's not something u see everyday. that hit harder..
anyone see the couple? they held hands and jumped out together, still holding hands and fell to their death... it's so sad.. the videos of the ppl jumping is what got to me the most..the other stuff just seemed so unreal.. |

i'm getting a little
irritated by all the junk that the media's feeding my mind. once ingested it's hard to digest it until it comes out from behind it's good to learn things.. but i don't think it's healthy to always be fixed on to the news... it's hard to watch t.v. lately cuz there isn't a single channel that doesn't mention what happened on the 11th. It's like the fuel that keeps the world spinning now or something... i'm tryin to stay away frum those channels though... most stories are repetitive anyways.. same material but cut out in different ways to make it sound even more tragic than it already is... Sort of like a hammer tapping and tapping away at you... I don't want to see it over and over again from different angles... Cuz the situation still remains the same... I know that the media's just trying to give out facts, but itfeels like it's only feeding the gaps inside of us... purposely.. it's great that you researched insteada based it all on wut u assume... which lotsa ppl seem to be doin.. includin meself. yeah that's actually wut i was meanin to say too...
but anyways... DAMN my teacher went from saying "WWIII is DEFINATELY not gonna happen." and now saying "I.. HIGHLY doubt... wwIII will not happen" so what? a week from now he's gonna be shaving his head bald? damn teachers.. I'm gonna stick to my own opinions. |

yoko i honestly didn't even read your post until now... weird that i said what u were trying to say...
great minds think alike i guess... i spent half an hour trying to write a single line that summed everything i wanted to say... when it came down to it, i thought back to when princess diana's "tragic" death happened... and i remembered someone saying that the media killed her... so the phrase "the real terrorists are the media" came to me... the media instills fear into the lives of every human being on the face of the earth. that's true terror. causing sleepless nights to innocent people who just wanted the frickin' lottery numbers off the news. this has been bob. reporting dead. channel 666 news. back to you damien. |

i agree with both yoko and bob. the media has gone so far to basically exploit the whole situation and people involved. It kinda makes me sick. do you HONESTLY think they're "reporting" to inform people? they're just trying to snag interviews to fill their nightly news shows like Dateline and 60 minutes or whatever the fuck it's called. And then a few mornings ago i turned on the TV and what did i see? dan rather (i think it was???) interviewing 8 year old kids in some mass "child forum" thing. from exploitation of a terrible disaster....to the exploitation of families affected...and finally to the exploitation of little kids. and for what? tv ratings

You're right Form, the U.S was responsible for the Taliban Region in Afhaganistan. It's terrible because they were trying to get rid of the terrible "monster" of communism, and yet they were breeding an even bigger monster. You should see what these people do to their women, it's horrible. They take islam to an extreme confining their women and commiting alot of human rights atrocities.
Things going on in the states are really going on the hand. I've been hearing about Attacks on Muslims and Arabs in the states. This East Indian dude at a gas station was shot recently, and alot of mosques have been vandalized. (like slogans like "DIE SAND ******SS" have been graffitied everywhere) It's crazy, their basically scapegoating Americans themselves (Even though they pracice a different faith). You don't see people vandalising churches or whatever when catholic extremist were killing abortion doctors did you? The book of the Koran itself goes against killing innocents, and people don't understand that just because a terrorist group takes an extremist side to their religion, and uses it as an excuse to kill for their purpose, not everyone of that religion shares that point of view. There's not much I can do except pray for these people. I may not be religious myself but that's all I can do. Things are just getting worst.... Oh and another thing, just because they go against the Afhagan people doesn't mean that this shit is gonna stop. Their gonna piss off alot of Muslim fundamentalists and we're gonna see more and more of these terror bombings. It's not good to piss off a whole region that is basically united in their religion, it's like another religious crusade or something... |
