Best friend in war zone.

Most of you have never met my pal Alison - I used to live, work and go to school with her...we are ridiculously close and for the last year she has been in Scotland drinking beer and romancing the locals :)

But this past week she's gone to Turkey - currently she's in Istanbul and extremists keep bombing the city (I'm sure many of you know about the bombings in the synagoges that occurred last week)
I am scared to death for her - she has extremely limited email access and she's just sent a msg that she was looking at a palace when a place down the street was blown up ...and she could feel the gust of warm wind that it caused


She comes home next month..I wish she would come home now!!

war is not a fun thing - i know a person in the army and just returned home, safely thankfully.

WWE War ZONE? that would be awesome...then I could finally meet and marry Triple H

but sadly no..she's inTurkey and it feels like bombs are going off there everyday

She's there by choice..not in the army or anything ... i am not entirley sure why right now she is there but when the tickets were booked things were not exploding ...She wanted to go and see the city during Ramadan

I told her - Alison my pet..don't you think that during a religious holiday/fast/celebration that it is the perfect time for extremists to come out???? She assured me that any vilolence has been limited to to places like the British consolt or mosques.....that didn't make me feel any better

and now she is there and I hear about all these bombs and I have no way of knowing if she is okay and it worries me

I do not understand why she would risk herself that way..I understand that Istanbul is a big city and that there is a good chance she won't see anything more then she already has....
