labret pain scale?

yeaa... so im thinkin of getting my labret done... not to sure yet i've had some feed back on pain from friends... but i always like to get a large amount of feedback for comparasons sake... i've heard its the most painfull thing ever... to... its the easiest peircing you have nothing to worrry about...

so..... ppl w/ labret peircings... lemme know how it went for ya...

i've always wanted to get my labret done

a lot of my friends have it done, and from what they tell me i think it depends on the person and where you actually get it done (on, near, away from a nerve)
some people didn't feel a thing, some people thought it hurt, like what you said..i think the worst part of getting a piercing is the healing

it's hard not too touch it being on your face

The actual piercing pain for me was pretty low.... the flesh there is so soft that the needle is in before you know it and the piercing is done.

I found that more of the pain came after with the swelling and such.... after about a week though its cool and after about 3 you can safely go to a shorter piece of jewellry.

No matter what the pain though its totally worth it.... I love my piercing.

Holes in body will hurt

you want it - go get it - pain goes away :)

lots of folk have it done so I'd imagine it's tollerable

got mine done over a year ago. No real pain at all...i was eatting a normal meal an hour later. Hardly any swelling either

I do reccomend going to West Coast Piercing, he knows his stuff there and has a lot of choose from.

Watch out after you have had it a while the backing will give u problems. Right now mine sticks into the gums between my bottom front teeth at times and hurts...make out sessions can become a pain if u don't get a short enough one as well :P

Yeah.

Any piercing you get is going to hurt, duh.

However, the pain factor is only present for about 2-3 seconds.

As far as pain comparable to other piercings? I'd say it was probably one of the more painful piercings I've experienced...it wasn't virtually painless like a tonuge or eyebrow..then again, it wasn't anything quite like a nipple piercing..

but really, you're considering getting a piercing on your face everyone will see...pain should be one of the last things you care about.

yea i had mine done bout 2 yrs ago and i wear it off n on...i keep re piercing it myself. it all depends on your pain tolerance. my own piercing location is more of a lip piercing then a labret so it was less skin-but even the healing process for me was quick and i barely cleaned it (i was lucky it didnt get infected). you have to comepare...have you had any other piercings? and how bad did they hurt? cause if you got your ears pierced an it killa hurt...itll hurt. but go for it~

i got mine done like a year a go
it didnt hurt when it was gettin pierced but afterwards i couldnt even talk cause it hurt so bad
the next day it was bleeding
it's different for everyone though

just ask them to use ELMA

I had a few bad experences with my septum ring. now i'm very very afried of getting piercings.

but i talked to this guy who's teaching me hoe to pierce. and they can use ELMA to numb the ariea your gonna pierce... you don't feel a thing

as jon tells me : thats cheating, you should go though pain as part of the experence.

still.... its easy. i'm doing it for my nipples lebret and nose.

i got mine done about 4 months ago, and it was pretty painless. the only problem i had was eating right after, i kept chomping on it, took me 2 days to solve that. heald fast also.

thx for all the feed back guys... i have had my nose pierced, nipple, belly and ears.
i didn't find nipple too painful but reallly anoying peircing to have... so i ended up taking it out a yr later. my nose ring JUSt got ripped out at lucid unfortunatly :( and the hole sealed up. so i wanted my labret.
i ran it by the parent tho and she snapped and turned beast woman on me and said if i did such a "horrific thing" she'd kick me out.... tis BULL SHIT.
