Cheap in Japan? I've never been there but I know it's hella expensive to eat there. Also someone told me that all you can eat sushi is a really un-common thing in Japan.

Food can be cheap! It's cheaper to buy food than to make it. It's all about the 7/11.. they sell riceballs and sushi n stuff there :)

As for "all you can eat" sushi.. the concept of "All you can eat" is more western.. Japanese cooking is like a form of art... In my opinion, sloppy looking poor quality food is a disgrace to japanese food.

If all one's ever tasted of japanese food is all you can eat sushi then you haven't savoured the best of japanese culture! There's more to japanese food than sushi.

There's a good place in Coq that I like to go to called FUJI SUSHI.

It's in Burquitlam plaza on Como Lake and Blue Mountain. Right beside the greek place... Paros Taverna . . ?
