the word "rave"
Why is it suddenly in vogue again?
Remember how no-one was saying it for awhile there? You weren't going to a rave, you were going to a party. Then there came the differentiations...a "party" was a rave, and other parties had to be specified as "house parties". There were discussions on lounge x about how nothing that goes on around here could even be classified as a rave anymore, etc. And now it's back to "rave this, rave that, rave rave rave!" And since when is it a fucking verb? "I'm going raving"?! What the hell is that? "Raved my ass off"?! Yikes, that gets on my nerves. Fucking wierd I tell ya. What is causing the resurrection, nostalgia? Maybe its just me. *shrugs* :rave: <-----------fucking ravers.

i love the word rave
when i get excited i say "rave" it is like my personal mantra.... at the height of orgasm i have to bite my tongue to curb the desire to scream "rave" from the mountain tops "rave on" is another personal favourite saying... rave chips rule too

i still call "raves" parties..and parties "house parties", and um clubbing clubbin, drinking drinking, popping, popping etc etc

isn't rave technically a verb?
u rave about something... the word was appropriated as a noun only recently by ravers who claimed it as their own...to subvert the hierarchy of the english language

wave is the baby way of saying rave.... man i went waving last night, the wave was dope, i met many people at this wave, i hope to see many more waves soon WAVE ON! this reminds me of a gay guy that acts like a fucking lisping kid... kill me

the word Rave should always be capitalised. it is a name not an object, dubbed to our parties to demote and give typecast any all night event. just as Ravers has become some joke amounst us who know, but ammo to who don't. sensless slander to break down what people do not understand. so capitalise that R in Rave next time your typing it out.

My contention is that a raver is one who raves, not one who goes to raves.

Its the word Rave to me, I think of a party the same as a rave. Its pretty much the same ppl that I know at a party that I see at raves, so therefore the word I use is RAVE!
