not even that great a hill, IMO.

Fact: to do avalanche control in the AM, the patrollers have to take snowmobiles up the hill, as a couple of the gondola towers are in slide paths, making it a liability to send staff up prior to bombing. This means it takes a lot longer for them to open the mountain up. And they should have put a midstation on the gondola, too.

Oh, and the rockies don't get a lot of snow. But the town of Golden is quite nice :)

Oh, and Mount 7 across the valley has the world's longest downhill mountain bike race, 17 minutes is the winning time. there are 6 first aid stations in the first kilometer :D

That's actually very inexpensive for what you are getting that would be in around $2000 per person per day or something like that at Whistler.
