bring a grad date?

is it worth bringing a grad date to grad????

i have a few friends saying its way better to go by urself because if u bring a date. u can't have as much fun cause u gotta take care of the chick. which i don't really kinda get yet.

but then bringing a date would also be more formal for the occasion right?

if its a girl that goes to the same school as you, or knows the people you hang out with a grad date is fine since she can take care of herself

if its a girl that doesnt know anyone there (other than you) and is somewhat shy.......not worth it unless your getting some mad action

yeah, only bring a date if they go to your school, knows other people, etc. you don't want to be making sure that they're having fun and fretting over it if they're not the entire night. go with someone that you can have fun WITH and not have to worry about too much. if not, go alone...cause you'll be able to party it up with everyone else anyways.

like most ppl said bring someone thats gonna be fun and someone that will get along with your friends. my grad was a total bummer cuz of my bf (ex now). he wouldnt talk to anyone, wouldnt even dance and was always like GLUED to me everywhere i went. not fun. :finger: fuker

i took my best friend to grad, not my boyfriend, and i dont regret it one bit. my best friend hardly knew anyone there, but still socailized and had a good time and i had a good time too. i didnt have any sort of "taking care" issues, i got to run off and be socail at any time.
i didnt liek the idea of taking someone to grad that i could be breakin up with the next day. plus the pictures are way better, and he complied to all my rediculous demands, and was able to tell me when i was being too outrageous. i didnt have to worry about jealousy at the dance or the after party. take someone you want to share the memory with.
i think im gonna go put my dress on again.

I brought a friend to grad as my date, and we had TONS of fun..

I'd highly reccomend bringing a friend, it makes all the boring stuff associated with grad bearable, plus it's a lot less awkward than bringing some random date.

I went to my grad with a close friend of mine. (who was in my grad class) I had a bf at the time and he had a gf who both went to different schools, we had way more fun that way.

she like took off with the limo at the end of the night and left everyone stranded

None of my friends did. we all went together.. rented the duckie bus, sat at the same table, went to aftergrad together. It was alright.

wooaa I just remembered that we weren't allowed to bring dates that didn't go to our school because our grad class was so huge.

My school has that same policy.
I don't think I want a date for grad, I can't imagine going with anyone from my school and I don't like the idea of going to a dance with one guy because then you're almost obligated to dance with them for the majority of the night.
It's all about having a date for after grad.. that's where it counts ;)
