till your sick of it

am i the only one who does this?
ill listen to something on repeat for weeks at a time, then i wont listen to it for a few years

why do i always have to do things in such extreme amounts?

A long, long time ago, I used to torture my sister by always listening to 2 Unlimited's No Limit. However, since she'd torture me with Ace of Base's The Sign, we sort of balanced out.

I usually listen to at least a certain 10-20 songs non stop for awhile, then switch up. then come back depending on what mood im in. i usually listen to drum&bass non stop...

Oh god I do that all the time. But once I get sick of it I can't listen to it for a long period of time until I forget about the song.. and then about a few months later I play it again and it's just as good as ever.

I had a roomate who did. That got me into Hulk Smash mode pretty quickly.

I also had a roomate who lived right below me who decided they wanted to blare Backstreet Boys as loudly as possible. This was in first year when I had my anti-pop-culture opinion about things and so that was sheer torture. Even worse was when I went to go work in the kitchen at a summer camp and Backstreet Boys quickly became the most popular music to be played in the staff's residence.

I still can't listen to Devils Haircut by Beck for more than two bars. I was Assistant Editor on a Music Vid when I was in High School. The Main Editor was a perfectionist and it took us 4 months of three times a week for us to get it to his liking. *sings* Mouthwash, Jukebox, Gasoline...
