running jan 23 to feb 5 with over 100 restaurants participating, offering 3 course meals for $15 to $25

i love food, i love good food, but being ghetto makes it hard to enjoy the nicer restaurants in van...i def recomend checking out lumiere, wild rice and amarcord

mmm, raw oysters are the BEST.

too bad i probably won't have time to check this out since i work til 10pm everyday. hmmm, maybe i should make a reservation on a sunday. i haven't been to feenies yet and i really want to check it out. anybody down? i also want to go to aqua riva, blue water, brix, il giardino, cru, rubina, provence...so many good restaurants on that list, too little time. gah.

everything is booked up no matter where you ask
i wnated to go to West...but we ended up going to Star Anise tonight for my b-day with my boyfriend and the 'rents. (dine out is supposed to start tomarrow night but somehow we got in a day earlier!)
the dinnerwas excellent and the service was good too. its a cute, intimate place just off s.granville on w 12th. i definatly recommend it!

some places extended their dine out thing...like provence i think it was

i'm going to quattro, provence, and water street cafe

i would love to go to lumiere and c

i went to west last year, it was really good...but i don't really like the atmosphere there

I managed to get reservations at The Cannery for the 27th. Almost didn't get them but I'm lucky I did... thats proposal night! It would have been a nightmare had I not been able to get the reservations.....

Well I told them I was proposing that night when I made my reservation.

The unexpected part was when I was getting up from bended knee the server swoops in with champagne and glasses which I never ordered and said "I think this is appropriate time for celebration... No?"

He smiles and proceeds to pour.

It was a very memorable moment. I wish I could give you tips on getting the butterflies out of your stomach.
