i'm not 100% sure on what the courts say about raves, but as far as i've heard it's a pain in the ass to get an all night permit for anywhere.

and about the warehouse on 1st and nanaimo, it's owned by TPS (the guys who used to run plaza) and cerah and i threw a party there on feb. 1st... tix were cheap, we had dj morgan and noone came.

it used to be the main power substation for all of eastvan. it's an AWESOME venue because it's explosion-proof in the basement, every wall is 6" thick or more concrete. now it's gutted and it's the warehouse for temporary power service. they're the guys who used to run the plaza (when it was cool and production was done well, not done by massivescam)

unfortunately you probably won't be able to throw parties there without doing shitloads of work for the owners and paying lots of money, and it will NEVER be legal.

what ever happend to big house parties? i know it's not a rave, but hell like 2 years ago at dalyn's was fucking sweet.

Science world is a no go due to the fact that it has to open for public in the morning so must be shut down no later than 3am I'm afraid. I just wanted to throw this post in here to say thanks to everyone posting in this thread. These are the types of constructive threads that can really help develop new ideas and a bettre scene for all. SOrry to sound ghey but thanks everyone.
