Mikerowesoft vs Microsoft

Anyone hear about this suit? I found it quite interesting how Bill Gates pounced all over this guy.

Mike Rowe(17 years old) put up a website - www.mikerowesoft.com. Microsoft attempts to shut it down. CNN features his site. Over 250,000 hits to the site in 12 hours. Microsoft offers $10 to buy the site. He appeals and asks for $10,000.

His prize in the end: all expense paid trip to Redmond, WA; X-Box game system; special subscription to MSDN (software developers site); and a new site made by MSDN.

I just found it hilarious that Microsoft, who makes billions, offers the kid $10 for his hard work. LAME ASS!

i jsut saw him yesterday and there trying to settle but he cant talk about it
some french movie company called my school to ask if they could film a documentary about it

update on this story...the kid won...and microsoft withdrew their charges and allowed the kid to keep his site
