God you think they could have made it look a bit more modern...sorry it looks ugly. Looks like a toy spaceship or something.

but I have no doubts as to its performance capabilities.

it's weird because even though it doesn't look too snazzy...it produces better negs than most newer film based cameras.

besides...the reason it looks different than a 35mm camera is because it's a 2 1/4...it produces way bigger negs.

if you think the hasselblad looks old skool you should see my 4x5 cambo camera.

it's hype cuz you hold it at around waist level...and you look DOWN into the eyepeice and all the negs are square format which gives your shots a whole different aesthetic and you can blow up/crop pictures so much better


that's the cambo i use...it's huge and bulky and heavy but you get 4"x5" negatives

the hasselblads look retro but you can pretty much sell an old hasselblad for the same amount you paid for it when you bought it....that's how good the cameras are. they never really lose value

the only shitty thing is that i think there's only 2 models of the hasselblads that accept digital backs. i don't shoot in digital but just in case when i'm rich and famous (and i will be...mark my words) i might want to get a digital back for my 2 1/4.

hopefully i get lots of bursary money this semester and then i'll buy my dream camera
