First of all central park so everyone says is a scary place. I'm not going to get in to the dangers of it. You probably already know.
There's no way i'm gonna be walking through there at night but during the day I think, hey it won't be so bad. It's a park for chrissake and there's families and kids enjoying the sun.

Yesterday Mercedes(crazychica) and I decided that we would walk through the park to kill time before we had to go to the skytrain to meet Oli. It's 3:15 ish in the afternoon. As some one who grew up in the area Mercedes is telling me about her drunken times in the park and all of a sudden she stops. I didn't notice and I keep walking.

cedes: "DUDE!" I turn around and she says " That guy that just walked by is jerking it!"
me: "what the fuck?!"
cedes: "He was jerking it beside you and you didn't even notice."
me: "really?" So i look behind me and the guy has his back to us. then he does a 180 and he's an old guy. In his 50's and he's got his shit out and he's just stroking it like no tomorrow and heading towards us.
cedes:"lets walk this way"
so were walk faster away from his but the creep is power walking behind us and still jerkin. He's power jerkin!
cedes:"RUN FOR IT?!"
me:" RUN!"
And we run as fast as our little raverselves could go. What the hell is wrong with people? There were other people walking by did they just pretend to not notice this weirdo? There were little kids playing and running around. What was he thinking? I'm gonna have nightmares for a while. I'm sure as fuck that i'm not going in to central park again! NEVER EVER AGAIN!

Just over a year ago my girlfriend at the time experienced a similar scary situation just off the Kwantlen campus in Surrey. When she called me afterwards in a bit of a frenzy and told me what had happened, my 'heart was in my throat' so fast. I'm not a violent person by any means, but I had strong desires to find the guy and kill him...brutally. If he had actually caught up to her, the effects would still be traumatizing even to this day.

In the end, she was okay, and I'm glad you're okay.

i've had it happen. i was walking in a parking lot once at lunch time just before noon. i came across this guy in his mid twenties jerking it in his truck. broad daylight, in a slightly busy area and he had a porno magazine on his steering wheel and was just jerking it.

i saw him and pointed and screamed to my friend and he saw us and drove away thankfully.

LOL NV is a safe little place the carson kids i chill with are so sheltered... they think there's N Van, W van, Downtown and the rest of the world is Burnaby. Even though they're sheltered they have some fucked going ons of a different kind there.
