I just got my car stolen, and ICBC is going to cover a rental for me for 20 days. I know that some car rental companies have a minimum age of 21 or 25, but the adjustor said that each company has their own policy.
Does anyone know of any car rental places where I can rent? Cause I'm only 20 right now. Or is it possible for one of my parents to rent the car under their name and credit card, and then sign me as the secondary driver? I miss my baby. :( |

when ICBC gave me a rental car one time, they reffered me to a rental car company that rented to drivers who are 21. i may have been 20 at the time, but it didnt matter. all they will do is charge you a "underage driver fee" every day. But since ICBC is paying for it all then who cares.
tell the rental place you want to best car they have, don't settle for some little hyundai accent. get the full-sized premium car. i had a 2003 Impala for 4 days. |

i don't have extra coverage on my insurance for a rental, but for stolen cars, icbc covers 40 bucks a day up to 20 days (so max 800 bucks) only. so going down to rent-a-benz would be a bad idea. lol. 40 buck rentals = the cheapest tin can with wheels they have.
and myra, i don't start work until sometime late next week. i can't do napoli tomorrow or sunday (have plans tomorrow and sunday i will be in seattle), but we can hook up early next week. any evening will do. let me know when you're free! :) |
