shopping spree!
i have NOTHING to do this weekend, cuz i'm such a bum... and since i've been feeling pretty shitty lately, i think i need to go spend some $$$ to cheer myself up...
probably gonna stock up on stuff i need for my place... odds & ends... jazz my place up... i just can't think of what to buy... any suggestions? i know i need to get a microwave, and a couple pots, but i can't really think of anything else right now... what should i buyyyy? hmm... towels would be nice...

like a rented place/apartment..and they don't let you like paint walls and shit...that sucks..
but you should go to like value village and go to the downstairs part,.,,holy shit i saw the coolest couch there,,,and this really neat high table that looked like it was from the 50's or something.,..for super cheap! you should go for like a whole funky/retro look...lava lamps! oh yessir....and like i don't know hmmm..if it was my place ....thats what i'd do..ikea does have some cool stuff, some expensive tho. I'l like go to garage sales, flea markets and that funky trash and treasure store downtown and get a bunch of cool shit. I don't know...those are just ideas i would have on my place when i move out..i don't even know if that helped you at all... :105: ooops

if i had my own place, i'd pick one wall and paint a mural on it. it's fun. it looks good. it adds that "personal touch".
and one thing i've always wanted to do: buy an old TV and take out all the wiring and insides of the tv and convert it into a fish tank...so when you look at the screen, you see gold fish.

my friend does joe average murals on her walls all the time...not that bad, it looks really cool. but then she gets sick of them really easily and paints over them or changes rooms. i've seen that tv idea before too...another way they did it was took out the insides and made a crazy looking picture frame out of it,,,,pretty sweet if you ask me tho... i want to go home now...babysitting is borrring

my dad told me to draw all over my walls in my room but my mom is anti-wall-drawing. she's anti everything though. but knowing me...i'll just do it to piss her off. that in itself will satisfy me.

Definitely hit up IKEA and stock up on some wood furniture. Then paint it all funky yourself...paint up the walls to match...get some lava lamps and trippy stuff going on in there as well. My next project is going to be a dresser drawer collaged with party flyers. My friend and I did one for her room not too long ago and it looked really sweet.

ahahaha... hmmm... well, ppl r suggesting i get a new tv... what the fuck for? i don't watch tv.... i guess it would be nice for watching dvd's and stuff... but... blah... my 21" will do... stereo, nah... i got a strong enough set up on my computer that i can piss off 1/2 the neighbourhood, listening to backstreet boys yo... i don't wanna get kicked outta here yet... i soooo wanna go to ikea this weekend... if i can get my friend to come shopping with me, then i'll get her to drive me down to richmond and i can go have fun and buy a coffee table and some funky decorations and stuff... i don't think i have room for a dining table, which kinda sux... so that's outta the question... i'm gonna get some pots & pans, and stuff like that... cuz all i have right now is a freaking WOK! and yes, the WOK may be a universal kitchen utensil, but i hate having to wash it every 5 minutes, haahahaha... i use that thing for everything yo... and yea, i gotta get a bed too... what size do u think we need vic? king size so you can do your "tarzan" routine? and beer... lots of beer...

hmmm..i suggest u by an iguana...or are no pets allowed?..if so..u can always buy fish or sea monkeys..no one would ever know u had them...hmmm..wut else is there...OH...a lil toaster oven..those things are the best..small..quick..and works great!!...but yeah..all in all..u definitely should make the place ur own..like if sumone walked into ur place..they'd immediately think.."yepz..this is BOB's place!"..

talk about feeling shitty...... shopping couldn't even make me feel better...
i was in metrotown, and i couldn't even shop... i just COULDN'T get my mind off something... well, then i saw adam & liza chatting it up at laramy, so i dropped in to say hi... other than that, i just zombied around the mall looking like i was lost... all i ended up buying was a few coffee mugs, a pillow, and a fleece throw... and lunch... didn't go to ikea either... what the hell is wrong with me... never been this hung up over some girl i don't even know... shopping usually cures me right away... wtf yo...........

Heh, Twiggy, did you ever go to the Java Joint in the summer(s) before it was closed? They have a fish tank/TV there.
Mmm... shopping... How I adore thee. I need to go shopping for grad, and for Hallowe'en, but all I really want to buy is lace-up black boots... But I can't afford them. *sniffles* Oh well, I bought a shirt at Value Village for $2 and a cool jacket at a vintage store on Main for $35, so I'm surviving... barely. Hrm, Ikea isn't bad if you're just looking for basics, but if you're looking for pieces to give your place a hint of originality I would suggest avoiding it like the plague. Don't go to a mall either, I would peruse antique and vintage shops... Find some cooler things to use to spice up your place.

there's a lot of nice furniture places downtown... but they can be VERY pricey... even the vintage/retro places... ikea is fuckin' cheap yo...
i was lookin' for some kinda table, like what they have in clubs & bars, u know? pretty high up, pretty small, and a couple stools... cuz i don't have that much room for a table... and i was checkin' ikea out (well, their website), and found something close... it's pretty much a board that you attach to your wall, however high u want, and get a couple stools to suit the height... i could get the table thingie and 2 stools for about $100 total... the only other thing i really gotta get is a coffee table, and maybe an end table... i kinda wanna make one myself... but i dunno if i have enough lego, hehe...
