Hair Salons
I've finally decided to face my dreaded fear. I'm going to get a hair cut! I've only had one in the past three and a half years now, and it was only a regular straight cut that left my hair still long enough that most people didn't even notice.
Not too sure what I'm going to let them do. All I know is that my biggest fear is having a hair cut that requires a live-in stylist to make it look decent every morning. It must be easy to manage day-to-day! Any salon and stylist recommendations? I was thinking about giving Tony & Guy or Suki's a try. I got my hair styled at Suki's for my grad pics and they did the most amazing up-do for me. Made my hair look super long even though I could barely put it up into a ponytail at that time!

I don't know any stylists or salons to recommend, because like you, having my hair cut is one of my biggest fears! LOL.....how many girls do you know that would almost rather go to the dentist than the hair salon?
 I can give you some tips though to make it bearable. Make sure you talk to the stylist about your hair-styling habits. For example, if you are someone like me, that refuses to spend more than 15 mins on your hair in the morning, you want to make sure that you aren't getting a cut that's going to make you set your alarm for an hour earlier every morning! If you don't know what type of cut to get.....look in mags, and bring a few pics with you. NEVER get an impulse-cut (ie.....you go in with an idea, but the stylist thinks you would look AMAZING with the new "flip-cut" or whatever......stick with your original idea. Ironically enough....I am going to the salon today for the first time in a year and a half!  Wish me luck!

i think jawa did laurens hair and damn it looks awesome. im lookin for a new color right now, and i dont trust myself to dye it. i mite be inquiring her soon... or whoever did miskas hair.

i just went to tony and guy and the chick that coloured my hair is dope. i have big bright red chunks in my hair now. her name is meb. and tanya cut my hair and i like it! short layers in the front and longer layers in the back. my hair hasn't been his short for years now! it's not SHORT at all (still below my shoulders), but it's been all the way down to my bum for ages now. they're pretty expensive though. came up to $215.

I just got most of my hair chopped off today at the salon. its so short now . looks really cute but im just not used to it and i miss having hair thats long. now i cant even put it in a ponytail but it had to be done. my hair was fried. :soak: I hope I get used to it.

^^ill def come see you in a month or so. when schools out, and im ready for a good summer. i just dont take hair cuts/change well AT ALL.. i get really nervous when 2 inches come off..even when i ask for it to come off. u look like ure really good at what you do, so i totally trust yah. btw call me bev.
the last person that did my hair got really frustrated cuz my hair wouldn't bleach properly, cuz ive dyed my hair black sooo many times. yea..seems like i frustrate a lot of ppl. goin for a hair cut is worst than goin to the dentist/doctor.

dont worry dahhhlin'. Im good at listening to what people want, i promise i wont take off more than im allowed :)
dont worry about the colour either i know it well enough to know what we can and cant do during the consultation. start getting ideas, pictures and things together and we'll talk about when you come in and i can see your hair :c-tard:

yup, it was definitely WAY too much. if i had known that it was going to ring up that steeply ahead of time, i would have gone somewhere else. i just assumed that it would be like most other salons that are already considered a bit more pricey. oh well, live and learn...at least i'm happy with the results!
