eagles, hawks, falcons, owls, vultures..
i hate all those whimpy song and city birds, but birds of prey...they're beautiful, friggin' amazing birds.
either way, there's this open house thingy at this birds of prey rehabilitation place that i volunteer at ( www.owlcanada.ca ) they have tours all the time, but during the open house they open up the whole facility to the public which is pretty rad cause you get too see a lot more. they've also got food being catered, and they'll have bird releases. it's on april 17 & 18th, from 10am - 3pm. it's rare to be able too see these birds so close up, check it ouuuut ;)

werd. yesturday i was drunk as fuck sitting infront of my tv but looking up through the skylights(the roof of the room im in is composed almost entirely of skylights) and when i looked up i saw this hawk circling around the neibourhood,, i watched him circle around high in the sky for a good ten minutes. they must live in the forest nearby because i remember always seeing hawks flying around my neighbourhood ever since we moved here back in '87. though back then their was alot more wilderness.

The Owl Rehabilitation place is so neat! I haven't been there since guides. There used to be a mentally challenged barn owl. I forget his name. But I think he died? :(
Kelly do you know what day you're going to be there? I wouldn't mind coming! It's sort of close to home too. Shorerider: WOW FUNNY!

YES! they still have Oddy! oddy the retarded barn owl..he's so purdy!
and ospreys, we've got a couple of em! ...they're noisy fuckers! michelle i'm thinking saturday, but not 100% yet...but i would love for you to come, i will give you a personal tour ;)

I found it! I went for a rip after work... it's waaaaaay closer than I thought. I can almost see it when I stand on top of the Jet Fuel Storage Tanks. :)

ahhh sorry guys! it's not happening this weekend! its been postponed due to the avian flu!
i'll let you know when it's happening tho! maybe we can get a big group together and ill igve you a super duper special fnk tour or something gay like that! woot woot...i hope they reschedue it soon!
