Just wondering if anybody is on Shaw high speed lite internet. Want to find out if it's significantly slower than regular high speed. I'm assuming it is cause they said that lite is 5 times faster than dial-up, but regular hs is 100 times faster. Trying to find ways to cut costs and seeing that I usually only e-mail/do basic word processing/post/msn on my comp, I'm not so sure I need to spend an extra $30/mo just for faster connection. At the same time, it's one of those things where once you've gone regular high speed, you would NEVER go back to dial-up.

My friends have it and I haven't seen any downloads faster than about 20 kb/s... personally I think if you're going to spend $30/mo get ADSL the base level is waaaay faster than that. :)

i'm going with the high speed. i just checked and it's only $15 extra a month, not $30. going to get the high speed net and basic cable bundle for $55.95 a month.

im with shaw and downloads are extremely fast... however, its probably because im one of the few people in my neighborhood who use shaw cable so no one's stealing my bandwidth

I have shaw high speed. I grab shit at around 600-700kb/s
