Storm inside my home

Casting shadows upon my home
The darkness brings fear, I'm all alone
Angry gusts burst through the door
The cold winds reach my wounded core
Violent rains flood hollow cheeks
Delicate trees quiver and weep
Lightning strikes, I fall to the ground
Lie frozen in fear as my bleeding heart pounds
A crash of thunder explodes in the sky
See this storm as it's seen through my eyes
These walls offer no protection to me
For the storm itself posesses a key
Intensity weakens, the weather calms
I remain shaken with cold, sweaty palms
Silent echoes are carried away
Of songs bearing memories of earlier days
Now trying to grasp the occuring events
In a room splattered red and covered in dents
Hoping the storm will not return soon
For one day the darkness will bring me my doom
