barstars at plaza is a good thing. they take up like half the venue. u really think ur gonna get that many people to fill up plaza all the time. and yes they do have appreciation for the dj's as well. if the music sucks they will be talking if its dope they will like it. sure tye dont really do much but stand around but who cares they go to get high, some go to dance, some go for other reasons. i barstar it everytime but it doesnt mean i have no appretiation for dj's etc.. i used to dance just not anymore.

I agree, BUT there are also some incredibly rude people at the EDM places who think these are their private clubs. Racism, discriminatory attitudes, and cliques - all bad ideas.

hardstylin, you need to check out the smaller venues, check out sonar. Very good scene there on fridays. And i just recently went to "Passions" at the rowing club in stanley park. Very good scene there too...great people, lots of smiles, little to no attitude. :)

JUNGLISTS'- Now maybe it was the handfull of these idiots i met because i cant imagine them all being so full of themselves, but these people think they are the absolute shit,i was standing in the breakz room and this chick asks me if im a junlglist i was like nope then shes asks what i listen to and i tell her hard techno and i got this look from like i was the biggest loser at the party and then she just took off this happend 2 more times in the breakz room, who do these people think they are, so you enjoy dancing to break beat more then straight beat big fucking deal, that doesnt make you above anybody else or more hardcore. try dancing to 147bpm for an hour then let me know how hardcore you are.

I did however meet a few really cool people at the party but not many,so many stuck up people it was almost like most of these people have never been to a rave its all about meeting new people not acting like an asshole or thinking your better then everybody else or maybe thats just the vancouver scene.

hey hardstylin: think vancouver is bad? come to LA. The calibre of DJs down here is insane! But do you think every party-goer appreciates, or even knows, which talent is top notch? No way. I got so fuckin pissed that I couldnt get to see Armin van Buuren at a club, but all these other fuckin knuckleheads got in instead of me. And I can honestly say that most of these fucks don't even know who the #3 DJ in the world is! But hey... gotta live with it. They have a right to party too, even if they can't appreciate the music on the same level that the more so-called educated listeners can.
