Job Interview Today
w00t! I got my interview for the Baristas program today! I talk about this program so much but I don't really care! I am very excited and hoping I am chosen as one of the 10 to participate!
I go at 11:00am... I will know by the end of this week since the program starts on the 19th. I will be back later to post how it went! Wish me luck :D

This is my first real interview so I am very scared!
I have talked to the guy who will be interviewing me several times before but I guess it finally hit me that I could be in this program... 6 whole months!

I totally bombed it :040:
They asked me questions like: ~ What would you bring to the program? ~ What are some qualities do you hope to leave with? ~ What are your good/bad habbits? ~ In my past jobs, what have I been proud of? What would I like to work on for future jobs? Stuff like that and I really am not holding my breath anymore... with my answers they has to explain the question again because I can't going all over the place. I even almost cried when we started to talk about my problems with my parents, school, attitude and past addictions. I will be called on Friday with a yes or no. They have a few more people to see, after that they will call the top 10 as they pick um. The ladies at my employment centre are going to call and bug him and find out what he thought of me and the interview. They have been trying to make sure I get in the program. They all think it would really help me out and I would do great! Still wish me luck though... all I can do is hope and be worried for the next 2 days. Rene

yea, i just had 2 interviews this morning aswell.. First one i did great on, the guy wants to bring me in for a full day of orientation on friday, and to give me some more details on the job..
2nd one.. i think i bombed it aswell, similar questions to the ones you listed above... Who knows if i get it or not.. I think i gave some pretty poor responses. Both are corporate office type jobs. Lets hope i get one of them

I would have done a lot better if they gave me that book of questions and let me fill them in myself... They gave me like a min to answer each one... My answers were really short and not as detailed as I would have liked them to be.
I hope you do well with the orientation on Friday... and even if the one doesn't work out you'll have the other one hopefully!

yeah as with everyone else I'm on a similar boat, job huting that is.. got an on-the-spot interview at earls today, but I'm not counting on it at all. I better keep looking, *sigh*
Ms attitude, I hope you get this job, it seems from that other thread (I believe that was you..) that you really deserve/need it.. hope it all works out.

you should attack the beast.. like.. think about what an interveiwer would say.. if you're looking for jobs. i have recently discovered the glorys of www.monster.ca its awesome.. not the most comprehensive.. it outdoes workopolis.ca tho (only has east coast listings) i want a better fucking job AHHH..

yoko* That was me from the other post. I will find out tomorrow, I am going crazy waiting on it. I am going to be sitting at my employment centre all day just waiting to hear my answer.
I was going to apply at Earls... I wanted to wait till I heard about the program. I may even go apply tomorrow after I hear.
